Tori Spelling: How Much Money Does She Have?

Tori Spelling, an American actress, has a net worth of $150,000. You might remember her as Donna Martin from the '90s TV show "Beverly Hills, 90210." Her dad, Aaron Spelling, was a big name in TV too. Tori also had a short gig in the newer version of the show.

Despite her father Aaron Spelling being one of the richest TV producers ever (he had $600 million when he died), Tori didn't get much of his money when he passed away in 2006. Most of it went to her mom, Candy Spelling. Tori reportedly got only $800,000. Then things got tougher when Candy stopped giving her money, saying Tori was spending too much. Their relationship has been rocky, with money causing a lot of arguments.

Apart from playing Donna Martin on "Beverly Hills, 90210," Tori has done lots of different stuff in TV, movies, and reality shows. She had her own sitcom called "So Notorious" in 2006, making fun of herself. Tori's been in loads of TV movies too, especially on channels like Lifetime and Hallmark. She also did reality TV with her husband, Dean McDermott, in "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" from 2007 to 2012. And she's not just an actress—Tori's also written books, like the super popular "sTORI Telling," and started a jewelry business, showing she's pretty good at business stuff too.

Tori Spelling's Money Troubles

Back in October 2013, Tori dropped a bombshell: she said she was broke. She admitted she'd spent all her money and was even borrowing cash from her mom to cover rent. Things got so tough that she couldn't even afford a basic medical treatment for her husband.

Spelling said she spent all the money she made from acting and got from her dad, which was a lot—around $15 to $20 million. She admitted in an interview that she wasted millions on bad real estate deals and fancy stuff for her family. When asked about her exact net worth, she said,

"I don't have one million dollars. We had some income here and there, but no savings apart from our retirement accounts."

But the next day, her husband, Dean, told US Magazine that things were actually okay financially:

"Right now things are going well. Tori and I are doing just fine financially."

And remember, Tori's mom, Candy Spelling, is super rich with $600 million. So don't worry too much about Tori's money situation. However, in March 2017, City National Bank sued Tori and Dean because they didn't pay back $200,000 of a $400,000 loan. The bank also said Tori spent $17,000 more than what was in her checking account.

During that time, Dean faced another legal battle—he was sued by his ex for $100,000 in unpaid child support. In October 2017, court papers from Dean's ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace, claimed that after she took him to court for not paying alimony, he stopped giving child support. Eustace said:

"In the last six weeks, he's been on two fancy vacations, one to Iceland and the other to the Four Seasons in Punta Mita. He lives in a $2 million house paid for by his mother-in-law, Candy Spelling, and doesn't feel the need to work. He owes over $100,000, and I don't think he plans on paying. He neglects to pay my son's university rent and tuition and hasn't paid the therapist bills. Meanwhile, he's seen spending money on shopping and throwing big parties for his other five children."

Before that, the couple had another problem: American Express sued them for $87,000 in credit card debt and $260,000 in unpaid taxes. Then, in 2023, news came out that Tori settled her credit card debt with American Express.

Their wedding was shown on an episode of "Inn Love." Then, a spinoff of "Home Sweet Hollywood" called "Tori & Dean, sTORIbook Weddings" started in April 2011. Some writers sued the show for $60 million, saying they came up with the idea first. They accused Tori and Dean of breaking contracts, saying bad things about their show, and unfair business practices. In August 2014, a new reality show called "Tori & Dean: Cabin Fever" aired. It showed Tori, Dean, and their kids living in a cabin by a lake in Ontario, Canada. Tori has also appeared on shows like "The Masked Singer" and hosted "Love at First Lie" in 2022.
